Product Overview

Ansix Auto Water to Oil Oil Cooler Kit

When using an air to oil cooler, you can often have oil temps that are colder than you'd like. Even when you use a thermostatic sandwich plate, the oil temperatures during daily use might only get to about 75ºC (167 ºF). With our water to oil kit, your oil temperatures will stabilize with the coolant temp and consistently operate around 100ºC (212ºF). Below are some distinct advantages of using this kit:

Stable daily operating oil temperatures: The oil temperatures will stabilize with the coolant temp and consistently operate around 100ºC (212ºF).

On track performance: In our test car during a 15ºC (59 ºF) day, the car ran for 30 minutes continuously and the oil temperature never exceeded 108ºC (226 ºF). This is a substantial drop from the stock setup where on the same day, the oil temperature quickly went to 130ºC (266 ºF) within 8 minutes.

Removal of the stock heat exchanger: The stock heat exchanger on the FA24 has been measured to cause a substantial pressure drop. Our kit is designed to be used without stock heat exchanger to allow your engine to have higher oil pressure when compared to kits which keep the stock heat exchanger.

Ease of installation: This kit is very easy to install since you won't need to remove the bumper to install this kit.

Please note, this kit is designed to work with the stock intake box with the resonator deleted. It may not fit with many aftermarket intake systems including the GR performance intake.

The kit has now been updated with a new sandwich plate that's compatible with the OEM oil filter.

GR86 Oil Cooler Liquid to Liquid

Posted by Tom on 21st Jul 2026

It's a great cooler, helps keep temperatures on track under 225 with 0W40. It also allows the car to warm just as quick as stock in the winter. It removes the stock oil cooler which allows for better oil pressure. Lines are on top and easily viewable to check for issues, unlike Jackson Racing which has lines that run in the bumper. The instructions are lacking and need to be revamped. More than glad to help do that if Ansix is looking for assistance with the document. I would recommend you check the GR86.org forums for more details on these coolers.

    Track Temp Results

Posted by Will T. on 23rd Dec 2025

The oil cooler did as advertised, 5 stars! Build quality is very good. I had a track event at Buttonwillow CW13 over the weekend. Ambient temp was 63F and over 7 hot laps, the engine oil temp was never above 220F. I did the install myself. The instructions were not very clear, took me a while to figure things out. Ansix should put out a more detailed instructional video and/or more clear instructions.
