Product Overview
Maintaining correct oil pressure is critical to the health of your motor. From factory, the 2022+ Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 does not have a pressure sensor. The car only comes with a pressure switch which only triggers a light on the clutster when the oil pressure is zero. The Ansix Auto oil pressure sensor kit serves two purposes. Advance oil pressure warning and oil pressure display and logging via CANbus. Installation takes 15 minutes and does not require modifying any OEM wiring or running of wires though the firewall or tapping into fuse boxes for power. A genuine pressure sensor is included with the kit.
Advanced oil pressure warning
With data logged specifically for the FA24 motor, we've created engine speed dependant pressure limits where we deem the oil pressure to be concerning. When the sensor reads a pressure which is below the limits, it will turn on the oil pressure warning light on the dash.
Oil Pressure via CANbus
The oil pressure sensor hardware will also send the oil pressure readings to the car's native CANbus network. This allows for the CANbus to be logged with any CANbus logging system such as Race Capture / AIM / OBDlink via the included OBD port. This will allow users to review oil pressure data after their track session to see if there were any pressure drop occurances. Since this data is on the CANbus network, it can also be displayed using a race dash.
Oil Pressure Sensor
The oil pressure sensor we've included in the kit is a stainless steel Japanese made OEM 10 Bar (145PSI) sensor. These sensors are built to OEM standards, designed speficailly to handle vibrations from being installed on an engine to measure high temperature oil. These sensors are readily available from your local dealership if a replacement is required.
Wire Harness
For the wiring harness, we use a high quality motorsport grade Tefzel wiring. You may notice the insulation is much thinner compared to regular automotive wire. This thinner insulation allows for a loom to be much smaller in diameter bust still have better heat resistance and offer more phyisical protection to the wire itself.
OBD Port CAN adapter is built into this product. Do not purchase both the Oil Pressure Kit and CAN Harness.
